Some local residents declare there are no ghosts, but there beyond doubt are terrifying things occurring here in Byron during the dark hours. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The spirit of an old man with a large gray beard has frequently been noticed down near the waterfront at Aginaw Lake screaming. The ghost of a gentleman in a military outfit is often seen having a seat at a coffee table in a Byron trailer attempting to verbalize something. A female with a sword sticking out of her head can often be spotted chucking stones into the water at Bogue Creek       very late at night. Local people who have made out this ghost assert this ghost is the undeceased spirit of a long gone Byron resident. The ghost of a lady with a bag tied around her head has once in a while been noticed pacing through a home in Byron. A sizeable creepy ghost is every so often noticed dragging a corpse over the grass   in Oak Grove State Game Area in the early morning hours before sunrise. The spirit of a young-looking gentleman sporting a confederate uniform has been seen on a few occasions being carried by a steed next to a highway outside Byron.
