Flint, Michigan Ghost Tales | |
|
In 1843, on April 3rd,A bill was enacted creating the Michigan Asylum for Educating the ''less fortunate''. It wasn’t, however until February of 1854 that the first student was enrolled, and in the spring of 1854 the school had 12 students, 11 of whom were deaf. In 1867 the name was changed from ‘Asylum,’ to ‘Institution. ’ In 1887 the name of Michigan School for the Deaf was given. 1937 marked the beginning of the State Board of Education assuming the property.
There were strange occurrences reported almost immediately. From the 40’s until the present several night watchmen have quit their jobs there because they we’re not willing to, or unable to, work alone at night in the building. Maintenance and security staff, as well as visitors have all reported seeing a young boy in the yard, dressed in out-of-date clothing, playing at night, and sometimes during bad storms.
I have heard stories about this building all of my life, and I know it is considered to be a local paranormal ‘hot spot.’. Submitted by Brad Categories:

in Flint, Michigan is just like daylight anywhere else in the USA, but this location has a quite good proportion of spirits. Paintings dance about, shrieks coming out of no-place. A number of local residents declare there are no ghosts, but a stopover in Flint, Michigan will make anybody believe.
These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.
The ghost of a young-looking female having on a blood-covered dress has allegedly been seen on a few instances speaking into the night as if somebody besides was there. A woman who lives here claims that this ghost is perhaps the undead ghost of a resident who used to have a home here in Flint. In any case, it is indisputably a terrifying spirit that you shouldn't go trying to find.
The spirit of an eight foot tall colossal man may sometimes be seen in the early morning hours drifting down on Carman Creek.
The phantom of an adolescent girl has regularly been witnessed in Aldrich Park at midnight attempting to state something. Regardless
