Hersey, Michigan Ghost Tales The man in the police uniform might be my grandfather- especially if he walks with a limp- he had a wooden leg-but, Hersey has no hospitals. Things go on in this town that cannot be scientifically explained. Skeptics don't have faith in the local phantom stories, but the undeceased may show themselves to you if you stay overnight in Hersey. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A woman with a spear sticking out of her head can be seen frequently musicalizing on a xylophone in a Hersey apartment. One of the locals steadfastly asserts that this spirit takes pleasure in scaring folks who come searching for spirits in Hersey. The ghost of a       female with a plastic bag bound around her head has every now and then been spotted covering a corpse by a large rock in Albright Park in the early morning hours before sunrise. A large terrifying phantom is rumored to have been spotted on one or two instances flinging pebbles into the current at Big Stone Creek on a dark night.
