Manchester, Michigan Ghost Tales | |

When I went to Manchester High School, I had a really cool history teacher that knew a lot about the history of Manchester and various legends and such. The town has a fairly new high school that was built about 5 years, not too long ago. Said teacher went to Manchester back in the late 60s to mid 70s and she recalls that a young man in the class above her had become obsessed with a girl in his class. He killed her and went to hide from the police. He ended up in a swamp/wetland deal on the edge of town and hid out there. A week later the police found his dead body in the swamp, he had committed suicide. Turns out about 30 some years later the village buys this same plot of swamp land and builds the new high school on it. Ever since the high school has been built they've had a lot of technical problems with it. Like the alarm systems going off in the middle of the day and staying on for a week, or the burglar alarm going off in the middle of the night, or the catwalk in the brand new auditorium breaking for absolutely no reason.

The ghost of a young-looking Indian warrior may be spotted repeatedly raking leaves in the side garden of a building in Manchester. Whichever way, this is a nasty ghost that you shouldn't go seeking.
The phantom of an airliner pilot has occasionally been seen by a person fishing by a lake right next door to Manchester.
