I was in Marshall working in an office on Michigan Avenue and was closing up one night. Our office had an inner office and an outer office and I closed the door of the inner office as I began closing up things for the night.
I took two steps toward the outer office door after closing the first and I heard something either hit the wall inside right next to the door I had just closed or the floor inside right next to that door.
As I went back and opened door I peered inside thinking that perhaps something fell as I closed the door. I saw nothing out of place and then sweeping aroud to my left to leave looked up and noticed the chandelier / hanging lamp swinging.|
It was slowly swinging from left to right as if someone pushed it! Holy crap.... !!!! I quickly backed out said goodnight to the ghosts told them to have fun and quickly left and unbelievingly pondered what I had just experienced as I walked down the steps and out the door.
''nawwwww.. I really don't believe in ghosts... Nawwww!! '' as if the experience itself weren't bad enough as I related the story the next day I suddenly learned that the offices where I was working had been the scene of a woman who had been ''badly mistreated'' (no details) had committed suicide - a self hanging - this really startled me (mainly because that was not what I wanted to hear) , and then as I thought further about it it raised goose bumps and the hair on the back of my neck.
A thump... The chair falling? The lamp swinging... The body swinging? I did not stay in the office late much more after that. All this to say that Marshall while it is unquestionably a beautiful wonderful town with gorgeous and warm people it provided me - a true unbeliever - with two more incredible paranormal opportunities beyond this, and is the only place I've ever stayed in (and I've stayed in London Paris Athens Florence and Rome among others) that may have just perhaps convinced me that there really may be ghosts roaming our world too.
