New Boston, Michigan Ghost Tales

Yup, the ghost of the Inn is really true. It's only been the old man that I have seen. I worked there for over a year and we've affectionately named him ''Bob''. He likes to shock you when you go down to the basement fridge or freezer by slamming the door shut on you (he doesn't lock it on you) or just messing with plates, etc. when you are closing late at night. I'm more worried about the old school house ghost on the same road as the Inn....

On Huron River dr. in the memorial cemetery across the street from Huron high school, there has been sighting of a small child [girl] reading a book under a tree but only in the dead of winter do people actually see her. And no one knows who she is.

The dirt road right a crossed from Michigan Memorial Cemetery, adjacent from Huron High School, Named Merriman rd. is said to be an old body dumping ground during

the beginning years of New boston. Also there is many unmarked native american burial grounds, people who lived down this road have discovered human bones and have seen people walk up and down the road at night, but when you go to look for them, theirs no one there.

The
restaurant mentioned in the paragraphs below is The Waltz Inn, and is still very much open (5 days a week) and very much haunted. Doors slam open and shut, faucets turn on and off, plates in stacks rattle, lights go on and off, rocking chairs rock, and the saloon style kitchen doors swing wildly by themselves.

In Waltz (Huron Township), there is a resturant that is said to be haunted by the ghost of a child (who people guess might have died from illness) and an old man (no one is sure how he died) from when it was an inn. On certain days when you go there, things on your table will move on you and sometimes your chair will to. The owners have reported that at night, doors open and close and they hear footsteps. It is still open on certain days and can be visited.
