An old habit but when I stopped I heard echoing footsteps like someone was coming up the stairs behind me after I had stopped... It scared me so much but I didn't mention it to my mom or anyone else... But when I was little things in my room would bang by themselves and I     would hear footsteps coming up the stairs and down the hall... I would always just think it was my cat until it happened when she was sleeping on my feet and my mom had gone to bed already... I freaked and pulled my cat up to me and tried to calm down... God it scared me.
