Submitted by JONATHAN TORPEY There have been numerous sightings of a ghost like figure of a girl hanging from the front porch of the pack house. she has been heard screaming out names of passing people. she is barefoot and her hair is long and dark. we believe she is the ghost of a girl from the 1800s named mary. The spirits of this municipality don’t leave anyone unfrightened. Several residents declare there are no spirits, but chilling things sure go down here in Oscoda in the dark hours. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A man with a large hole through his chest is       regularly observed walking a Rottweiler before dawn on a murky Oscoda avenue. A gentleman with the head of a beast has been said to have been seen on several occasions appearing frightening between the big trees of Alpena State Forest. A number of of those who live here assert this ghost could be a well-known days gone by dweller of Oscoda. A   woman burning, grasping a petroleum container may frequently be seen looking at the water by Foote Dam in the early morning hours. The phantom of a youthful air force pilot can be spotted over and over again going crazy by Au Sable River. A young girl wearing a bloody wedding dress has every now and then been distinguished in AuSable River Park before dawn scooping out an outlet. If you talk to the folks who live here, this ghost is the undead spirit of a long gone Oscoda local person. A guy having a sword in his head is now and then witnessed attempting to conceal a corpse in Cedar Lake Swamp at the stroke of midnight. The ghost of a mailman has supposedly been distinguished on frequent instances watching television in an Oscoda living room very late at night. A guy's body with the head of a rat may now and then be made out going through trash cans on an Oscoda lane. A female character was observed smoking a cigar right by the entrance to Albert E.
