I live in Oscoda now and have off and on for 15 years. I used to live by the Pack House. One night I went for a walk about 10 pm and saw a woman in the top window in almost like a clear gown looking right at me.
When I turned my head for a second and looked back she was gone. I have always wanted to go in and try to talk to her and find out why she is not at peace. Maybe help the woman.

Comment by Eth: Why do you think she needs to be helped? She may be happy the way she is, by living in Her own world where she has escaped from an unhappy situation, and may feel safer than she was.|
I believe that she may be happy being seen by a mortal from her previous world, but didn't want any more contact than the sighting that was successful, other wise she would have sent a message through the either to you for help.
She could have been sent by the higher power to help you. Were you weighted down by hurtful problems at the time you saw her? Did your life change after the sighting for the better or the worse?
If indeed you actually saw a ghost, I would consider that to be a lucky omen, especially if she didn't harm you. I would call the lady ''The Elusive Specter of The Pack. '' Try researching history of the Pack House & who has died there & what was the method of death, . I. E. , natural or murder, & did she live there and during what era.
Memory doesn't serve this question, but didn't the Pack House burn down during the Great Fire of Oscoda back in the day and then rebuild?
If so, maybe she was worker of a part owner from a parent or husband.. So many questions you need to research, but remember you don't live in her world, but you could visit hers by writing about what is imaged in your thoughts about her world. I would strongly suggest you find a creative writing class through Oscoda Adult Ed Classes.
If $$$ is tight, Federal Govt. Can help with a subsidy at most schools as long as it meet's accreditation Government requires.
Writing requires some education, and with that in mind, just go do it. You have the idea/beginnings of a good ghost story. Get a couple of classes under your belt, learn what's out there for wanna-be be authors, and get busy. Your idea is excellent. Good Luck, Ethel, Ann Arbor, Mich. Sept. 06,2016, emthax34 @gmail .com .
Comment by Grayson: The woman you saw was Grace. Grace is the original owner's daughter that built the house. A couple of years ago my friends and I found a way in and explored it along with the abandoned school across the street down the road. She haunts the house but is friendly. She will move things sometimes and turn off and on lights down in the cellar. I still have a picture in my room that was taken from the house and was given to me because he knows I love soccer. It's a soccer picture from the old Oscoda soccer team in the 80s or 90s.
When we were walking to our cabins at around 10:30, I looked up at the top window that faces the family video and saw her. When I turned to let my buddy know she was gone. Also in a little tiny room on the side that's blocked with a wood board there's windows that are covered to the basement along was a Ouija board.
If you want to visit please contact the owner or the police to see if they'll let you investigate because there are alarms and motion sensors that will go off. Also be safe because in the upstairs there was a fire a few years ago with a rocking chair in the middle of the room with a pull string lamp. Make sure you receive access from authorities before entering.
I briefly lived in Oscoda when I was 16-17. My step Dad had property on Loud Drive by Van Ettan Lake My step Dad and I had a falling out, so when I was a junior in high school (class of 2003) I moved into an apartment with my boyfriend Andy. In this house the lights would flicker, and we'd hear people walking around in the living room area when we were in our bedroom at night. One day we were arguing intensely. I went to the bedroom to calm myself down, while Andy remained alone in the front part of the house. He was sitting in a chair by the doorway leading into the hallway. After a minute he heard heavy breathing. He said the sound was about 8 ft tall. It sounded like a cross between a man angrily breathing and a dog growling. The feeling he got was intimidation, and he described it as threatening. It went on for 15 to 20 minutes, and when he got the courage to get up from his chair it stopped.
