Many folks who live here argue this spirit is the tormented spirit of a long dead Painesdale person who lived here. The phantom of a man having half his head lost was noticed sipping paint at the stroke of midnight by a mailbox in Painesdale. Scared by the viewers the ghost departed into the night. Whatever folks exclaim, this ghost undoubtedly is bloodcurdling; one that you wouldn't want to encounter around midnight.
