I lived in Saranac for most of my life and to say the least the place is haunted. An ancient Indian burial ground can be found on a hill on David Highway a mile away from saint Anthony's Catholic church.
To mark the ground is a lone toilet that stands where my trailer once stood (I moved to Grand Rapids a year ago and had the trailer sold as scrap). When I lived there we saw angels in the form of fairy-like creatures, orbs and otherwise apparitions of people and animals, mists, and maybe even the fabled willow-wisp.
I have felt the presence of strange but calming spirits in my sleep and in the woods. The place itself still manages to give off the vibe of happiness and content.|

I've had my share of local lore. Most of which concerned the Saranac tribe of Native-Americans for which this adorable little town is named. I used to live in Saranac. In fact I lived on an Indian burial ground on David Highway.
My family and I have seen orbs angels and apparitions. The place was definitely meant to be holy. Animals chose it as their final resting place. Almost every pet my family had died there happily. As well as some of the neighbor's pets.
