My family lives in the old hotel 1. I used to live there with my grandma. One of the bedrooms used to have a ghost of an old lady rocking in a rocking chair, so yes it is haunted. Submitted by Tom

Whatever you do stay away from Henry St. There is a ghost in the old hotel that has gotten people to commit or attempt suicide. And there is a house that was built that the builder will not leave even in death. He taunts and throws things every which way but the occupants are somewhat crazy anyhow and refuse to leave.

Comment by Jacklynn: I used to own the hotel in Smiths Creek. My family and I have seen our share of ghosts and crazy happenings in that hotel, but after a while you got used to it. I've had my whole body held down while in my bed and couldn't move. I've had spirits whisper in my ears. Crazy stuff there.

This town is full of alcoholics, never seen so many drunk people in one place in my whole life. Comes as no surprise of course that people see ghosts here, drunk people see things. I'm one of the few sober people in this town so my ghost sighting probably gets diluted by all the drunken sightings. I saw a homeless bum at the railroad crossing on Henry Street (right by the pink elephant bar btw). I was going to go up to him and politely ask him to leave our fair town, but when I approached the rugged gentleman he vanished in a flash.
