Troy, Michigan Ghost Tales A house at the end of my neighborhood was always a dark forbidding place. The lawn was never cut. The bushes engulfed the entire front of the house. At night you could see a light on in the basement, but no one was ever home. I just thought it was a crack house or weed plantation (hey I was like 8 years old). Except for one night when a saw a shadow moving back and forth across the window. When I went back home and asked who lived at that house my parents told me that no ones lived their for nearly 8 years since a boy murdered his mother in the basement and...ate some of her. The boy has been in prison ever since and no other family members have returned to the place. The phantom of an old prospector with a sizeable mustache and an eye patch is often seen walking a Saint Bernard late at night on a murky   Troy residential road. If you listen to what the local residents allege, this phantom is the struggling spirit of a long dead Troy local person. The ghost of a flight attendant has been said to have been spotted on a few occasions peeping through apartment windows in Troy in the early morning hours before sunrise. Loads of residents say this ghost is the ghost of a vacationer that was killed while passing through Troy a long time ago. One thing is for sure, this ghost indisputably is bloodcurdling; one that is better not disrupted. The ghost of an elderly cleaning lady can be observed very often drifting by on Amy Drain late at night. The ghost of a youthful lady clad as a maid has now and then been noticed searching through trash cans on a Troy residential road. In any event, this is an unpleasant ghost that you do not want to encounter in the early morning hours. The ghost of a youthful cowboy is every now and then perceived next to the water at Vhay Lake chucking stones.
