stay the night at a friend's house. The next night I was home, and it would be the worst night of my life.
I got woken up by a strange voice calling my name. I didn't see anyone and thought my mother must have been talking in her sleep again. The walls were paper thin in that apartment. I rolled over and tried to go back to sleep. I felt something grab the foot of my bed. I then felt the lower part of my bed rise up and slam down. My head hit the wall.

It happened several more times. Then it just stopped. I sat up in bed scared but unwilling to call out to my mother. I learned a hard lesson early in

life not doing that.
I tried to get up to turn on the light but felt something push me back. Thinking I lost my balance, I tried again. This time I pushed back onto the bed and felt something grab my throat. I felt it pushing me down, and when I reached for what was grabbing my throat there was nothing there. I started to recite the Lord's Prayer. It stopped.
The next morning I found bruises on my chest and neck. I also found three scratches
