Andover, Ohio Ghost Tales | |

I have lived in andover all my life. I can tell you this, there is more ghost here then any one would suspect. I grew-up on Footville Richmond Rd. There in my parents trailer you never went down the hall at night. I always had my shower done before dark hit, or some one else would come and pull the curtain back on you while taking the shower. Loud thumps from the back beroom. (My sisters room) You could see a black shadow walking back and forth in front of the door. And it was'nt just in house. The yard had a lot of actitvity. I saw a little boy standing next to a tree in the back yard. He looked about 6 years old. He has blonde hair and was wearing a long sleeve white shirt and it looked like navy blue pants. He looked so out of time. Like from the past.
As I got older I started to believe more. What finally got me to really believe was my brothers house next to the Village Inn. (a local bar.) I was babysitting one night. I had my 2 kids and his 2 kids there. All night long we all heard bang and the sound of some one running up and

down the stairs. Later that night we were all in my nieces room. The kids were on the floor asleep and I was on my nieces bed asleep. I woke up to see a man standing in the door way. He had his hand on the door knob and one hand reaching down to my niece. He was wearing a white shirt with the sleeves rooled up and a pair of brown dress slacks. He had

white hair and it was balding. it only circled the sides and back of his head. He was very old looking. Not a young person. I went to scream but i could'nt get it out. I turned my head and looked back and he was gone. I recounted my story to my mom and she told me to tell my dad. So i did. I discribed the man to him and he said thats George. George use to own The Village Inn. He died when I was just a baby. He also owned the house that my brother was living in.
The house that I have now is on West Main Street. It is a duplex now but it use to belong to J.S Morley. Andovers first Mayor. It was built in 1864. This house has a long history. Not only being his home but also it use to be a funeral home. There is so much stuff going on here you would'nt believe. You can ask the ghost a question and it will replie by writing on the upstairs bathroom mirror. And thats true on both sides. (I use to live on the other side) My mom own a doll that she has had since a child. No one is allowed to play with the doll. It always sits in the dining room.

One day my sister moved back from Indiana and went to the basement to do laundry. She started to yell for me and my mom. When we went downstairs there was the doll sitting on a piece of cardboard with blood all over her neck. No one knows how she got there. It took forever to get the boold out of the cracks of the neck of the doll. Things will fly off shelves and tables with no one around.
I now believe 100% that this town has more going on then you can see. I hope this can help any out there in Andover who has experienced the same and not sure if it could be true. I know for a fact that it is.
