I live in pineair village just off the high way across from the Athens messenger. On the railroad there has been sightings of a woman with a young kid walking down the tracks at night. I've seen this woman and child several times, and I'm not the only one; my brother who is 18 goes fishing at night. He claims that he's seen this ghostly figure himself then as he would get closer this woman and kid disappeared. My neighbor has seen this woman and people say that the woman and child were killed by the train and they were so mangled that they could not detect who they were.

Some Friends and I took a walk outside of ''The Ridges'' Just for fun trying to spok ourselves out. It wasnt until later in the evening we noticed that snap shots taken with our cell phones weren't what we though were taking a picture of. We say a womans face in one of the windows. I tried to puch open and cracked window only to give up and next thing I knew...the

as any other town, but if you are easily scared, you'd best steer clear of this place in the night time. The ghosts of this city don’t leave anyone unterrified. Some residents allege there are no ghosts, but the things that occur here in Athens during the moonlight hours will give you a good scare.
These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.
A young girl having on a blood-splattered prom dress is every so often made out in a mirror in an Athens flat; the ghost was solely to be seen in the mirror.
A female with a green face has purportedly been spotted on one or two occasions up on the highest spot of Chandlers Hill going bananas. In any case, it's undeniably a bloodcurdling spirit that you wouldn't wish to bump into on a dark night.
A gentleman having a sword in his head can every so often be noticed throwing stones in Athens Downtown Historic District before dawn. It's been said that this specific spirit may perhaps be a recognized former time local of Athens.
