Avon Lake, Ohio Ghost Tales    This is a picture of a ghost that spends lots of time rearranging small items in our apartment in Avon Lake. It shows up as a small gray ball most frequently. Seems to show itself when people are visiting. We have tried Holy Water and prayers...but he just stays around. - Ghost picture submitted by Jack We have lived in Avon Lake Ohio for over 30yrs in the same house and our house is haunted. My neighbor tells us of paranormal activity that goes on in her house as well. Everyone in the family has had their own encounters . From seeing an old fisherman to seeing a shadowy human figure and even seeing a dog's spirit as well. My now grown children talk about how lights in the house would flicker off and on when I wasn't there. I saw I floating shadowy figure at the end of my bed one night, it scared me so bad I doubt I will ever forget it. Our dog will lay in the bed with us at night and around 3 or 4 in the morning I have woke up to seeing her lying beside me silently staring at the bedroom door and then very ,very slowly tracking something moving into the room. A Medium friend once told me she felt it wasn't the house as much as it was the land that the house stood on. She said it was an old Indian woman that once roamed the land here that was causing the paranormal activities. I work here in town and I truly believe my       building is haunted as well. Sounds like a heavy object lands on the floor but there is no one around. I   have to keep my stereo un-plugged because the ghost will play music during the night between 2-3am. There is a spare room downstairs in the lower level of the house that we use as an office. I always keep the door closed. But someone or something always opens it. The phantom of a youthful lady having on a bloody dress is occasionally spotted poking around in mailboxes in the early morning hours in Avon Lake. Scores of residents allege this ghost is probably the tormented ghost of a resident who used to have a home here in Avon Lake.
