A Medium friend once told me she felt it wasn't the house as much as it was the land that the house stood on. She said it was an old Indian woman that once roamed the land here that was causing the paranormal activities. I work here in town and I truly believe my building is haunted as well. Only makes loud noises occasionally to remind you he's there. Sounds like a heavy object lands on the floor but there is no one around. I have to keep my stereo un-plugged because the ghost will play music during the night between 2-3am. There is a spare room downstairs in the lower level of the house that we use as an office. I always keep the door closed. But someone or something always opens it.
