Bellevue, Ohio Ghost Tales | |
|
In 1967, my parents moved into an upstairs apartment of a two story house in Bellevue, Ohio. It was near the train tracks. Often, they would hear a man's boot steps walk across the floor. Sometimes the steps passed right by them. They never saw anything, only heard.
I was born shortly after. My bed was a tiny wooden rocking cradle set up in the front room. My parents have told the story many times of how when I would cry they would hear a man's boot steps walk across the floor and stop at my cradle. Then the cradle would begin to gently rock and I would stop crying.
I one time asked my mom why she didn't snatch me up and why they didn't move from the apartment house. My mom's reply, ''Why? He wasn't hurting anyone and we didn't feel scared.''. Submitted by Tammy Categories: home, footsteps
