No matter what, it unquestionably is a frightening ghost that should be steered clear of. The ghost of a young-looking man sporting a confederate uniform was spotted pulling a body over rocks in Athens Downtown Historic District on a dark night. The appearance of the onlooker startled the phantom who then disappeared. The ghost of a strapped up gentleman was observed struggling to verbalize something up on Chandlers Hill. The viewer got scared and ran off. Based on what the locals allege, this ghost may well be a recognized past resident of Chauncey.
