A black as coal snake that shifted shape into a lady may sometimes be witnessed at Crawford Pond Dam before dawn thinking. Anyhow, it's a bloodcurdling ghost that you would not want to encounter after midnight.

The ghost of a dispossessed gentleman was noticed frightening folks by the side
 
    of a wild road near Jewett at midnight. When the ghost was made out it faded away into the night. In any event, it certainly is a bloodcurdling ghost that any wise person wouldn't want to bump into.

A terrifying beast came into view in the middle of Elk Fork yelling people's names. The phantom was consumed by the thin air after being perceived.
