Custom Search Little Hocking, Ohio Ghost Tales <<<< Little Hocking MAIN PAGE        MORE GHOST PHOTOS    I bought a home circa 1870 in Little Hocking.  One of the oldest homes in the area and it wasn't until 1 months after I bought the home and started doing renovations that the home started changing.  It was as if the house started to come alive.  One night I decided to lay on the couch and I woke up around 3:15 am only to hear a slow beating sound.  I got up off the couch and walked around and heard it coming from the wall in my living room, I put my ear to the wall and it sound like a heart beat.  I walked through the room in the living room and it was coming from all directions of the room, a loud heartbeat sound.  I started to feel an anxiety feeling come over me but calmed myself and went back to sleep.  After that experience, more things started to happen, I would watch television in the living room and I could feel someone sitting on the steps watching me. The hairs stood up on my arm and even though I couldn't see anyone there, I knew there was someone there, matter of fact, I had 2 cats at the time and the one cat walked in the living room, sat on the floor and looked up at the step as if it could see someone. Then the cat decided to walk up the stairs but as it came to the step where I could feel someone was sitting, the cat walked around the spirit. That's when I knew that the house was active. I would have dreams of women who would come to me and introduce themselves and tell me they once lived in the home. I have had friends/family come over and have also had experiences in the house. Eventually I had a paranormal investigation team in and they were able to pick up on spirits. I found out that I had 3 vortex's that I know about, 2 have been closed up by doing a ritual and one is still active at the top of the steps. After doing research on the house, my home was built on/around lay lines and built on limestone which holds memory. I have photos of Orbs in/around the house. There is a woman who stands in the corner of the downstairs room which I had turned into my bedroom at the time, I saw her shadow as she stood by my bed, at first I was afraid but then I felt that she had good intentions so I called her my protector. I no longer live in the home, the house is too active for me to live there, but I still own it and have decided to turn it into a spiritual retreat. I believe that there is a good chance that the Spirits who walk my land are Shawnee and animals.
