Lynchburg, Ohio Ghost Tales I've lived in this same old house 25 years. There was a hanging in a barn on my property in the 1800's well when I had my house rewired, they found a hayloft door in my attic.This was the barn where the hanging took place. We've had a ghost here for the time that have lived here. The people that lived here before us,left on account of strange things going on here. You can here footsteps in attic late at night, My closet door has slammed hard also late at night. What ever it is also has turned lights off & on,got a hold of my wifes night gown while is was in it,and pulled, clanked the tolet lid up & down,unlockes my windows raises them. Does all kinds of stuff. Don't bother us anymore, we're used to it. It don't really do anything that will harm you, just tries to scare ya.All this stuff happens nightly. Disbelievers don't believe in the local ghost testimonies, but Lynchburg is packed with stressed souls just waiting to scare you. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The ghost of a young gentleman   wearing a confederate uniform has from time to time been witnessed demolishing a hat by Anthony Run. Based on what the people who live here allege, this ghost is the undead spirit of an old Lynchburg local resident. The ghost of a tied up guy is sometimes seen concealing a cadaver by a big rock in Oldaker State Wildlife Area very late at night.
