I lived in Mantua, Ohio for about 15yrs when I was growing up and I would say if it's not a new house then yes it more than likely haunted. My friend use to live in an OLD funeral home and you did hear ALL types of noises at night things that moved around in the day cupboards open & close the list can go on & on. I saw these things for my self. But The one MAIN center of attention to this old haunted town was ''The Haylett House'' It was an old beautiful home looked like a house you only saw in the movies. BUT the truth is horrifying! People were brutally killed in this house it had many rooms and passages to other rooms and other places. (They use to have tours though it) It was so old it also had an underground railroad under it to set slaves free. There are many tails about this Beautiful haunted house. It really is a big part of Mantua's history. If any one knows of this house please share. . . Also I know that the elementary school in down town Mantua is haunted... When I was about 8 or 9 yrs old my good friend died there.

She crawled under a bus and got ran over. I saw the whole thing! I saw her little soul leave her body. A few years after when I was about 18yrs old I went back just to remember the good old days and as I was sitting on one end of the swings a little girl was at the other end. I thought I knew her from some Where but did say anything when I started

to leave the playground I looked back & she was gone. I turned back around and it was like a gust of wind took my breath away I felt happy & sad at the same time like something just past through me, but I wasn't afraid.

Well have you head about the insane asylum in Athens Ohio? Well that is one creepy place. I was there one year for my birthday and I was 14 and I'm 15 now and my sister took me. Well usually I am not scared of that kind of stuff cuz I know they're souls that haven't moved on yet. I understood that some people have been taken out of the asylum in ambulance because they were either traumatized or curled up in the fiddle position because they were too scared. My mom kinda hesitated to let me go but if there was gonna be some one with like my sister. Anyway as soon as I stepped foot in the place my whole body froze. I never seen or felt so sorry for something. But I wasn't scared yet just surprised. Well we went farther

into the asylum and a couple other people just dropped out and quit so they had someone show them to the door. When we reached the 1st room I swear I felt something grab my throat and try to choke me but this lady behind me said some kind of prayer of Hebrew saying then it stopped. It was real scary but that didn't stop me from going any farther. We also got to stay the night somewhere haunted I can't remember though. My sister took the first step in the stairs and she cried I asked her why she was crying and she said I can't help it something told me to cry. I didn't believe her but then I reached another room it was room that young girl who didn't like it there; she felt something bad was gonna happen so she killed her nurse. But I don't want to talk bout it any more. It's creepy but that was the first time I had ever been that scared and ever felt sorrow or pain like that for something!.
