My grandmother told the story of living in a haunted house at the Hobson yards. She stated in this house was a door upstairs that would not stay closed. Once it was tied shut with belts and the next morning it was open again.
She also told of the stairs having a door at the foot of the stairs. One night she heard footsteps come down the stairs and stop and she thought maybe a hobo had come in during the day. She opened the door and no one was there.

mother repeated this story many times even though she didn't believe in ghosts. My grandmother either believed in ghosts or was a good story teller who knows!.
