Piqua, Ohio Ghost Tales

For those who know or saw the movie or read the book the Amityville horror,I have a lithograph painting of the DeFeo house signed by the real murderer and a letter from the new and current home owners of the haunted long island home in New york, since then I found the painting on the ground,in another room,no one moved or touched it and remains undamaged and my wife has seen a figure of a man walk by the restroom into the bedroom and disapper. She said you can see through him.I never seen anything except a very bright greenish white orb or light fly rabidly in the room at night and vanish, twice I have
seen this thing, and being called out by my name a few times mostly when im asleep and nobody was there.and sometimes changes in temperature that was unexplained. It was a depressing feeling and very uncomfortable
living there, and lot of bad luck and missfortune we received we no longer live there but it was at Colonial Terrace but for the new residents privacy I wont say where but reflecting back I think of it as Colonial Terror. We since moved and have experinced nothing out of ordinary.it is an old building anything could of happened over a period of time not sure what started the haunting ths Amityville painting or the grounds itself purchased the painting a couple weeks after moving in so im not sure, I will say I still have the painting and nothing has happened at all so far since we moved and resettled. This
is very true and not something we made up, just unexplained things that still puzzle me and I think back to from time to time.

When I was a small child, there was a house we lived in on North Street - I believe the address was 210 E. North Street. Anyways, there were sliding doors that would open and close on their own, strange voices, wicked laughs. My bed was at the end of the hall off of the kitchen next to the bathroom - it scared the hell out of me that one night I  heard a creepy voice. I looked down that little hallway. I found it mesmerizing that I could see the backdoor slamming open and shut, the light from the fridge door opening and closing making the light go on and off, cabinet doors opening and closing, the water going on and off, wash cloths and pot holders flying around the kitchen table all while there were laughs, screams, and and wicked laughs. On top of all of that - the weird part is that as long as I closed my eyes, I couldn't see or hear any of it! And I could tell more about other oddities in that house.....another time. .

I grew up in an old slave house on boone st in piqua.  it's recorded at the flesh library that it was used in the underground railroad during the 1800's.  and I remember many times seeing a little boy and many other spirits in that house. then we moved to a house we built a couple of miles north from johnston's farm on miami-shelby.  when we were building we found all sorts of arrowheads and artifacts.  right after we moved in I started seeing the ghost of a man and strange things happened like clocks chiming that were unplugged, scratching at my second story window, footsteps and things flying off walls. and I had the feeling that something or someone did not want us there. the woods (around deckers' lake) behind my house I also saw many weird things (like shadows of people) and noises (drums, whispering, someone behind you) that I still cant explain.  and my two dogs have always and still bark suddenly and crazyilly towards those woods at what seems like nothing, but seem truly scared at something. my parents still live there I haven't for a long time.  and even now I get that sense sometimes when I come home to visit like someones there and that I shouldn't be there, especially in the woods.
