Many spirits linger still at this historic gem. In 1835 farnam's daughter Emily drowned in the cystern at the manor. Legend has it that little emily's spirit has been seen playing in the yard. More recently Many have encountered the playful spirit inside the manor. During the roaring '20's the Manor was owned by ella mayor     the widow of the Akron police chief. She operated an elegant exclusive club for the Akron policeman. Some called it the ''house of illreput''. The spirit of a lady in a White dress paces on the balcony waiting for her lover to return. From 1948-1972 the Manor was the Home of the danish smorgasbord. Many who ate there experienced strange happenings. After the smorgasbord closed the Manor went into a state of neglect and was left abandoned for Many years.
