Salineville, Ohio Ghost Tales There is a woman who lived in the woods in Salineville. A man tied her to her bed on halloween night because he thought she was a witch. He burned her house down while she was tied to her bed, along her side were her dogs. They say that on halloween night you can hear her dogs barking. A few years later, the woods caught on fire...where her house was. No one knows how or why. The drive way heading up to her house has a wire with milk jugs on it to block it off from the people. All thats left of her house is a few bricks that made her basement. Around the house and where the house stood....is grass. Many spirit stories have been disclosed by the local residents. A number of local residents allege these       descriptions are lies, but scary things indisputably happen here in Salineville in the night time. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A dark dog that turned into a woman has occasionally been made out pulling a corpse from the chilly water of Allman Run at midnight. Anyway, it is certainly   a creepy ghost that should be shunned. The ghost of a youthful woman clothed as a house keeper has been perceived on several occasions by Highlandtown Lake Dam at the stroke of midnight staring at the water. A man who lives here claims that this ghost is that of a local who resided here in Salineville a long time ago.
