Sardinia, Ohio Ghost Tales I lived in sardina,ohio for nine years. I lived on a road called Katterman on that road you would see ghost or dark figures. During one night a man driving drunk was killed in a car wreak; he had hit a tree. Soon after that I kept seeing this man on the road or at my house. Also, a friend who knew the road told me a story about an old barn that stood in a field. she said 54yrs ago a man who owned the land had hung his self in the barn. Living there I always knew the road had many haunts. Also, a dark figure that was not nice that caused problems in people lives who lived on the road. When I lived on katterman road a man stab his wife , a man was shot to death, many marriages were broken up, and a rape. Also, sudden unexplained deaths. I will never live on katterman rd I say it is more haunted then any place I know of. Ghosts are so usual around here; lots of locals don’t even think about it any longer. Several locals say there are no spirits, but if you have the nerve to spend the night in Sardinia, you could spot a spirit for yourself. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The   phantom of a pregnant lady is once in a while seen watching television in a Sardinia living room late at night. No matter what, this is an intimidating spirit that you don't want to meet after midnight. The spirit of a young-looking gentleman in a coat has allegedly been witnessed on a handful of instances by Lake Waynoka Dam at midnight staring at the water. People here allege that this ghost is the tormented soul of a long departed Sardinia local. A decapitated gentleman can every so often be noticed down by the water at Lake Waynoka weeping. The phantom of a surgeon with a bloody uniform was spotted chucking stones into the flow at Bells Run before sunrise. Other sightings of this ghost have been reported.
