Custom Search Sugar Grove, Ohio Ghost Sightings Sugar Grove PAGE 1   2     Behind the old Bower's farm which sits way back from the cut off hill on 33 south, and across from the old entrance to hideaway hills road, lay ridges of sandstone.  Back in the woods there is a very old and large indian cave where I once stood face to face with a young indian girl.  I could see her mother approaching who made eye contact with me and who looked very scared for her daughter.  I saw indian men with bows and     arrows who were alerted to my presence too and who began to get agitated.  There was a cultivated garden in which corn and other vegetables were growing with this picket fence around it.  No doubt this was to keep animals from eating it.  All these indians were wearing buckskins.  Sometime later, Albert Bowers, the last of the Bowers family told me of his meeting these same indians during his youth.  He was over 80 when I knew him in the early 1970's.  He was friends with these indians who were living on ''their land''.  They considered the indians were there   (continued on the next page...)
