I went down stiars thinking it was the T.V. I went to turn it off, but it was off. The beating kept getting louder and louder. I ran outside to see what was there... nothing but snow and the wind. The drumming still went on until I thought someone was behind me playing a skin drum. When I looked around the noise     ceased. The elders say that it is the sound of the Indians from around here during the settlement era. Sometimes you can even hear a baby crying and Indian warrior screams loud in the night. You can even hear the dances and the war cries on still, cool nights of no moon.
