I am now 35 years old and live in Harlan, IN.One night I lay in my bed sound asleep, I must have been 16 at the time. I was awakened around 3am by the sound of a very lound crying. I remember waking up with my heart pounding. Sleepily I made my way to the bedroom window, which overlooked the backyard. There in the pitch black     was a lady, dressed in a white flowing gown. She was crying and wringing her hands (spelling). Her cries were so loud. I remember being able to see through her, She was transparent. She had dark hair that was pulled back tightly on her head. I turned in total fear to run to get my parents, but the crying stopped as quickly as it had started. She had vanished. That was the only time I have ever seen a ghost. It took me years to tell anyone about this. I didn't want anyone to think I was crazy. But, eventually I decided I wanted to share this with people. Oh   (continued on the next page...)
