to'' by a sweet old woman. I have tried to find out information about previous owners and the history of our home, to no avail, or at least, nothing notable.

In late 2006 my father purchased two trailers in a mobile home park near Waynesville, Ohio. His intention was to renovate these mobile homes in order to rent out to patrons. After he completed the second of the two homes I decided to move into one in 2007 as a result to a recent job opportunity in Wilmington, Ohio. I heard of several ghostly stories that had occurred in the surrounding area of Waynesville. During this time my girlfriend, Rachael, was attending college and she visited me very frequently. The first month that I lived in the mobile home I was very enthusiastic about having my own place, but that was soon to change. One night after my girlfriend and I watched movies and had dinner I woke up to the sound of slow moving footsteps in my hallway. I woke my girlfriend up and asked if she heard the noise. She assured me that it was simply raindrops hitting the top of the tin roof and went back to sleep. The sound ceased and I soon went on to sleep myself.
The next day I learned that it had not rained at all the night before. I then began wondering what other suggestions we could come up with that would explain what had happened. Rachael said that the only weird thing that had occurred while I was out the day prior was the smell of cigarette smoke. She said it was as if someone walked past her while smoking a cigarette. The following weekend my girlfriend brought her guinea pig with her during her stay, hoping that I would agree to keep him since she was unable to keep him in her dorm. I agreed, and we fixed a place for him in my room. Just before going to bed the guinea pig became very irritable, and we were unable to settle him. We tried feeding him treats and holding him. He appeared very uneasy and startled. Unable to do anything more, we put him in his cage and went on to sleep. The next morning my girlfriend and I heard cabinets opening and closing in the kitchen and plates and silverware being shuffled about. My girlfriend rolled over and asked ''who is in the kitchen?'' I told her that it was my mom just cleaning up. I wanted to get out of bed and greet her, but decided that I would just call her later in the day to thank her.
When I woke up after a few hours I noticed that nothing in the kitchen had been moved and dirty dishes were still in the sink. I called my mother and asked if she had been there early that morning. She replied ''no, I have been here all morning!'' Needless to say, my girlfriend and I were puzzled. If someone had come in the house, how did they get in? We checked the front and back doors and both were locked tight. The only other person with a key was my sister, and she was at work at that time. As odd as this experience had been, my girlfriend and I tried to shrug it off hoping that we were just hearing things. The following day Rachael woke me up from a deep sleep screaming that I needed to wake up. She said she heard footsteps in the hallway that sounded like a child in boots! She made me get ready in a hurry, and we left the property. We later told my mother and sister what had been occurring as they tried to come up with reasonable explanations for the events. My mother told us that the only similar event she encountered while in the home was the smell of cigarette smoke and acted as though she did not believe our experiences.
However, I was convinced that something was going on and decided to move out of the mobile home. In July of 2008 my parents decided to put the mobile home on the market, and it was sold by December that year. After the sale was concluded, my mother told Rachael and I that one night in 2007, before I moved in, she was staying at the mobile home and saw what she thought was my nephew walking down the hallway. Once she realized that he was not staying with them that night she began doubting her own sanity. She apologized for not telling us of this event earlier, but did not want to alarm me while I was staying in the mobile home. We asked her what she thought it was and she said ''I don't know, and I don't think you do either!'' We now conclude that the house is most likely haunted.
