The sun was beginning to set, so there wasn't a great deal of light. Presently, Cose came to a small rise and his horse ''Dock'' reared up and snorted. From out of nowhere a man dressed in all black was standing next to the road staring and waving very, very slowly (like slow-motion). Uncle Cose proceeded on for a couple yards to where he     was on the very top of the rise, stopped his horse, and turned around to look at the man one more time to see if perhaps he recognized him. From the top of that rise, Uncle Cose was able to see for miles in all directions. There was no one in sight. The man in black had simply disappeared... .
