my sink. I also hear footsteps and the creaking of weight on the stairs, then my bedroom door opens and there is no one there. The chain on my front door will swing for hours if I don't hang it up. I feel that there is more than one because when I'm downstairs I feel a more manly, distant presence and upstairs I feel a nurturing, grandmotherly presence.

I was driving down highway 226 toward Shreve, close to midnight 7-26-08 with sleeping kids in back seat. A rushing

black object passed my car on the opposite side of the road, but very close to my car, and was noiseless, lightless as it passed. It seemed like a silent horse and buggy or horse/vehicle, I couldn't make out anything but a chilling presence, as I hurried home as my rear view mirror showed only darkness. What was that thing?.
