Comment by Winton: Just curious. I grew up on Winton Avenue. Did this happen to be a small white house near the top of the street that sits way back? All the neighborhood kids had experiences there.

I live in a house that was haunted. I had it blessed and asked the spirits to leave, and I believe they did. My eight-year-old daughter and I moved in this house when I married my first husband. I have seen a jar that was on the counter lid come off, fly into the middle of the kitchen, and drop. I put a candle arrangement on the mantle in our living room. Before I got back into the kitchen the candle arrangement was disassembled and laying on the floor. The TV would turn on and off by itself. The rocking chair would rock with nobody in it. My daughter is very sensitive to ghosts. She would see them, and they talked to her. She is 31years old now. She still sees ghosts now and then. She doesn't speak with them because she says they can be annoying. She also is afraid if she does talk with them, her gift will get stronger and draw more spirits to her. I guess she is what you call a medium, though an unwilling one.
My husband had never seen anything here, so I told it ''Why don't you bother him?'' Well, it did. I went to bed before him, about thirty minutes later he beat it upstairs to our bedroom. He wanted to know if I shook him awake in the family room and told him to go to bed. It was not me. My husband passed away a few years ago. I have caught glimpses of him a couple of times and felt his touch. He also tossed a picture of my cat out on the floor several feet from the table it sat on. He used to get aggravated at my ornery cat. I had surgery a year after he died. I could feel him sitting on my hospital bed with me. My father-in-law saw him in his hospital room the day before he died. It was like my husband returned to help his father into the afterlife. It made me happy to know he is still near us because I still love him very much.
