Comment by Allen: I just saw your story and find it very interesting. I have been investigating the paranormal for 30 years and I have found in in most cases haunting have a explanation 85% of the time. However I always believe my clients have seen or heard something and it my job to find out what that something is.

Ghost of a man peeking through bushes in a backyard of a house located in Ankeny. The family dog is known to growl and bark at the bushes several nights a week. The house's occupants have been known to experience bad fortune.

The past several owners have experienced a death in their family within months of occupying the home. Other experiences that have happened to the occupants have been freak accidents, health issues, and severe financial hardships.
Some of the parents notice drastic emotional changes in their children since moving into this house. Perhaps this is just coincidence or maybe this house has a lingering negative spirit roaming it's grounds.
