Our old family home on South 17th Street was haunted. I have seen my Grandfather's mother twice. She was around a lot. There was also a very malignant presence in the upper east bedroom. It appeared to my aunt as a black shadow man, wearing a stovepipe hat, kind of an early forerunner of a Hatman. It manifested to me as the most horrific nightmares. I finally stopped sleeping in that room.
It hated crosses and rosaries. Three crosses disappeared

off my sister's bedpost and were never found. It hated the Bible. My sister kept a Bible, open to the 23rd Psalm, and said that it would stand at a distance

and glare. She finally got rid of it by jangling a pair of Native American ankle bells that she kept next to her bed. Submitted by Melissa

I went to the Bradley hall for the first time today and as soon as I pulled in the parking lot I just knew something happened there. There was a sign in the room that was connected to the lavender room by the bathroom and it said that the lavender room was their nanny's room. The room that connected to that was one if the kids rooms. I have to agree I walked into that room and something just gave me the chills. I felt very uncomfortable in there.. I want to know the history behind it..
