Corning, Iowa Ghost Tales I have seen the ghosts of two old women crying and holding hands near a road at Lake Icaria. I was told that the two old women are sisters, and the two of them jumped into the lake and and drown committing suicide. Both of the women were forced into prearranged marriages by their parents. Neither of the women were happy married to cruel men they did not love and were miserable. These two worn out pitiful looking ghosts are wearing old fashioned long dresses, and they are wearing dirty long aprons too. I feel sorry for the two ghosts and pray some day they will find comfort and peace. Has anyone else seen       these two ghosts other than me?. I saw her again while I was in the bathroom, I heard water running, and she was on the side of the bathtub washing her feet.
