Submitted by Robert You could think that Diagonal, Iowa is precisely the same as any other municipality in the US, but when the shadows of the night roll in the undead appear. The ghosts of this municipality don’t leave anyone unscared. Skeptics don't have faith in the local ghost stories, but with so many ghosts in Diagonal you have a rather good chance of catching a glimpse of one if you stay an extra day in this town. These are some of the spooky       things that have happened here recently. The phantom of a street bum was distinguished by Sun Valley Lake Dam before dawn looking at the water. This phantom is fantastically active in   this area; there have been a few other accounts of this individual phantom. The ghost of a young-looking woman drenched in blood has often been distinguished fishing from the shore of Sun Valley Lake in the early morning hours. A gentleman with a sizeable hole through his chest is frequently made out hurling pieces of wood into the stream at Brush Creek at midnight. A local man claims that this spirit may be the spirit of a local resident who passed away here in Diagonal some decades ago. A gentleman with the head of a demon has allegedly been seen on frequent instances searching through garbage cans on a Diagonal lane. One of the people who live here steadfastly asserts that this phantom might be a distinguished former time dweller of Diagonal.
