Earling, Iowa Ghost Tales I saw the ghost of a farmer in overalls pawing at the refrigerator late one night. He looked at me and started coming towards me. I even felt him touch me after I had pulled the covers over my head. It took place on a farm outside of Earling. Submitted by Emily Earling, Iowa is just anytown USA in the daytime, but under the surface there are out of the ordinary things going down. Things occur here that cannot be rationalized. Doubters don't believe in the local spirit stories, but a visit to Earling, Iowa will make anybody believe. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A lady with maggots crawling out of her eyes was made out after midnight drifting along Moser Creek. When the ghost was noticed it disappeared into the air. The ghost of a lady with a stiletto in her back was made out dragging a dead body over the grass in Manteno County Park around midnight. The ghost was gobbled up by the night after being distinguished. The ghost of a chained up woman       came into view coming into view in a restroom mirror. When witnessed the ghost came within reach of the witness who then ran off. A lady grasping her head next to her arm was seen having a seat on a stool in a building near Earling.
