George, Iowa Ghost Tales


Superficially George, Iowa seems like a common city, but if you are easily startled, you'd better not come this location in the dark hours. There have been a lot of experiences with entities from another dimension. Several residents claim there are no ghosts, but if you are brave enough to stay for the night in George, you may very well distinguish a ghost for yourself.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

A man's body with the head of a pig has every so often been noticed drifting down Argo Slough late at night.

The ghost of a man clutching a sword is every now and then spotted in Boyden Recreation Area very late at night hiding a cadaver by a big boulder. Loads of locals say this ghost could be a well-known yesteryear native of George.

The ghost of a lady with the sign of the devil etched into her head has allegedly been spotted on a small number of occasions smoking a pipe before dawn by a mailbox in George.

    neck may every now and then be made out pacing through a building in George. Locals here who have spotted this spirit claim this spirit is perhaps the undeceased spirit of a local person who used to dwell here in George.

A lady with the head of a goblin was seen being carried by a donkey beside a highway near George. The ghost didn't appear to be anxious by the onlookers.
