Hancock, Iowa Ghost Sightings

Tony owned the livery stable located on the North end of the main Street of hancock. There were 12 horse stalls on the right and ten on the left. The end two stalls we filled with Hay and straw. Hay was stored in the loft above. So was the indian. As a Young youth I and my Friend new every creek stream River Bend and alley way around hancock. It was whispered between us that at night an Indian slept in the livery stable

in the hay. The whispers started when I over heard some adult conversation in the kitchen. But not getting all the Story made it even more
|
than exciting. When in our tours around town looking for excitement we were told by Tony never go into the livery stable, it did nothing but to reinforce the whispers; an Indian lived at night in the livery stable.
Life went on. Most of the excitement was when cletus Jack and bob would ride their horses to the south end of main Street and then race them up the Rock covered streets to everhardt implement and then turn
