It was Dec. 10, 2004, my 35th birthday... My infant daughter wouldn't sleep so I packed her in her car seat and headed south from Omaha to my father's home town, Imogene... To the Catholic cemetery, where it's always joked that everyone buried there is a relative! I wanted to visit my dad's grave.. He had died only 18mo prior, and it was my birthday. Having arrived at 11 pm , I wondered out loud, ''what on earth am I doing at a cemetery late at night?? There was a flurry snow.. It was cold, I did get out of my jeep and stood by the grave, and talked to daddy.
