Le Claire, Iowa Ghost Tales I woke up to a strange noise in the middle of the night. I went to the bathroom. When I was done I entered the hallway and thought I saw my dad. I said ''Oh my god you scared me.'' The lights were turned off. My dad then walked out of his room behind me and asked me who I was talking to. I then heard laughing, and looked in front of me, and all I saw was a face, and it then dissappeared. Things go down in this town that can't be rationally explained. Several residents claim there are no ghosts, but everyone who lives in Le Claire is not alive. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The phantom of a pregnant lady is sometimes seen watching movies in a Le Claire living room in the early morning hours before sunrise.       Residents here allege that this ghost is that of a local who settled here in Le Claire some decades ago. The ghost of a young gentleman dressed in a rain coat has allegedly been perceived on several occasions rummaging around in trash cans on a Le Claire residential street. One of the local residents confidently says that this ghost takes pleasure   in terrifying foolish folks who dare to interrupt the tranquility in Le Claire. A beheaded guy can once in a while be noticed by Mississippi River Lock Dam Number Fourteen very late at night gazing at the water. Some of the folks who live here allege this phantom could be the spirit of a person who lived here who died here in Le Claire a long time ago. Well, this is an unpleasant spirit that is rather not interrupted. The ghost of a physician with a blood-splattered uniform is often seen by Bud Creek gazing.
