Custom Search Lime Springs, Iowa Ghost Sightings Lime Springs PAGE 1   2     I live in the southeast corner of town and on August 28, 2007 I was sitting in my backyard talking on the phone at 8:30 pm.  There is a wooded area behind my house and I saw what looked like a white t-shirt or dress emerge from the shadows of the trees. I could hear no sound or footsteps.  It seemed to float.  Then after a few minutes it retreated back but I could still see it. There was a dark spot on the white on the lower right     side of the white area.  I thought it may have been a reflection off a tree from a street light or car passing.  After checking the location of a street light I concluded the light from the nearest street light was blocked by trees and buildings.  A car passing would have been heard and their headlights would've scanned the area.  It wasn't a car.  I sat there and watched.  The image retreated into the trees but I could still see it.  Several times in the night I got up and looked out my back window to see if it was still there and it was...in the shadows.
