Lime Springs, Iowa Ghost Tales I live in the southeast corner of town and on August 28, 2007 I was sitting in my backyard talking on the phone at 8:30 pm.  There is a wooded area behind my house and I saw what looked like a white t-shirt or dress emerge from the shadows of the trees. I could hear no sound or footsteps.  It seemed to float.  Then after a few minutes it retreated back but I could still see it. There was a dark spot on the white on the lower right side of the white area.  I thought it may have been a reflection off a tree from a street light or car passing.  After checking the location of a street light I concluded the light from the nearest street light was blocked by trees and buildings.  A car passing would have been heard and their headlights would've scanned the area.  It wasn't a car.  I sat there and watched.  The image retreated into the trees but I could still see it.  Several times in the night I got up and looked out my back window to see if it was still there and it was...in the shadows. The next morning my daughter walked back in the area where       I saw the ghost. There was no trampled grass and no tree that I thought could've been the culprit. There was nothing in the vicinity that could explain it...no trees to be reflected on, etc.. I haven't done any research and I've not seen it again since. According to my reports I've heard there's two more ghost in that house. One in the basement which is a disturbed and a very physical spirit. And there's a little girl that shows in side the house in the hall way that shows her self after the awhile when you are there I have had friends experience this when they go there.
