The wife of the family had been my baby sitter when I was 2 years old so I did not know her well. We visited her and her husband in an old house that I remember to be in an old Section of town. The house looked as if it had been remodeled with an addition or two so it was hard to Tell what it had looked like originally. We were told almost     immediately upon entering the home that the family believed it to be haunted. The husband reported hearing footsteps going up a staircase which went from the side door entrance of the home to the second floor. He added that the footsteps would proceed down a hallway where all the bedrooms were located to the end of the hall. He would hear a door open and close and then nothing. The husband maintained that a door once existed at the end of the Hall but it had been removed during one of the apparently frequent remodels.
