We have lived in our home since 1989. Shortly after my son was born we started seeing a young girl with curly hair, she's about 5 yrs old.It's very strange to be woken up in the middle of the night by a child that isn't yours saying ''hey,hey'' and pulling on the covers. We have discovered that this happens most often when my son is ill, he has seen her many times in his room and calls her ''Elizabeth''. She also likes to open and close the closet door in his room and jump on his bed (I've seen it happen).At this point ''Elizabeth'' is a part of our family, I'm grateful for her help keeping my family safe.

During the daylight hours you could think Lowden, Iowa is exactly the same as any other settlement, but not everyone of the locals of this settlement are really alive. The undeceased are living in this settlement as the folks who live here will reveal. Skeptics don't trust in the local ghost tales, but seeing is believing and if you stay for a few days here in Lowden, you might witness a ghost.

A moderately decayed human dead body is every now and then distinguished in an apartment outside Lowden. One thing is for certain, it sure is a scary phantom that is better not interrupted.
A female alight, holding a kerosene bottle has allegedly been distinguished on one or two instances at Bennet Lake Dam in the early morning hours before sunrise piling boulders.
