Marquette, Iowa Ghost Tales I was visiting the effigy mounds in Marquette Iowa. I thought it would be cool to visit the Mounds. When we walk up the trail I could feel energy, so I took my cell phone and put it on negative and found three different shadows by the burial mounds. Night hour is living dead time here. Not everyone believes in the stories the people who live here tell, but Marquette is packed with tormented spirits just waiting to scare you. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A female person is often noticed in Beginning of Old Military Trail Historical Marker very late at night pulling a dead body over the grass. Some of the people who live here declare this spirit is possibly the undeparted spirit of a person who used to have a home here in       Marquette. Anyway, it is indisputably a menacing phantom that you shouldn't go looking for. The ghost of a lady with a word cut into her back has supposedly been noticed on several instances struggling to snatch something by Eagle Rock. If you talk to the folks who live here, this phantom is the undeceased spirit of an old Marquette local.
