New Hartford, Iowa Ghost Tales In the spring of 2006 aproximately 4:00 we went out to the beaver creek, and in the river there was a fisherman that looked like he was glowing green. About 2 seconds after we saw him he dissapeared. Night hour is undeceased time in this town. Some residents declare there are no ghosts, but the ghosts of New Hartford are out tonight looking for someone to scare. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The phantom of a bound up guy has sometimes been observed flickering a flash light in Helt Memorial Reserve around midnight. The ghost of a street bum is sometimes witnessed floating down on Freddeke Creek late in the night. The spirit of an elderly witch has allegedly been witnessed on many instances scrambling up from a storm drain on a New Hartford street at the stroke of midnight.
